Frequently Asked Questions

What times are your tours?

The Upper Antelope Canyon Tours depart at 8:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 2:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. daily, weather permitting. We ask that you arrive at the Overland Tours office (located at 48 S. Lake Powell Blvd, inside the "Thunderbird Art Gallery") at least 15 minutes prior to tour departure. Cardiac and Canyon X tours start at differing times depending on the time of year. In the heart of summer we like to start earlier to beat the hottest part of the day for the first section of the hikes.

What can we bring along on the tour? Is camera equipment permitted?

Photographers are always welcome on Overland Canyon Tours. We recommend a sturdy tripod and cable release, plenty of film or memory cards, extra batteries, along with a case for your camera and gear. The canyons are very sandy and you should take necessary precautions to protect your equipment. You may also bring a small cooler if you prefer, but water is provided.

Do we have to be physically fit to take these tours? Is there much hiking?

You should be able to walk in deep sand for about one-quarter mile if interested in visiting Upper Antelope Canyon. It does get quite warm in the summer months. Canyon X and Cardiac Canyon are much more involved tours. Please read up on these in the "tours" menu.

What type of shoes should we wear?

We do recommend hiking boots but sturdy sneakers are acceptable.

Can you accommodate larger groups?

We can accommodate groups up to 30 guests for the Upper Antelope Tours.

Will you pick us up at our hotel?

You can arrange for pickup at any Page hotel except from Lake Powell Resort & Marina. Our vehicle will be waiting outside the lobby 15 minutes prior to the schedule tour departure.

Sorry but we cannot offer the pick up option for the Kayak/Canyon Combo tours. It is your responsibilty to arrive at the Hidden Canyon Kayak office at 7:30AM, there office is located at 916 Vista Ave in Page.

What is your cancellation policy?

Your credit card will not be charged at the time of booking. Your card will only be charged in the event you do not show up for the tour and do not notify us of a cancellation.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours (for single day tours) or 15 days (for multi day tours) prior to tour departure and no shows will be charged the full tour price.

Overland Canyon Tours will charge a 10% surcharge for tours where Overland had to purchase special permits prior to tour departure.

Overland Canyon Tours reserves the right to cancel any tours due to unsafe conditions, or by Navajo Parks & Recreation request. In this case, Overland Canyon Tours will refund any deposits or prepaid tours.
